1. If it involves GIFT CARDS and it’s not a human you know, don’t believe it!  Even if you think you know them, follow back up with “your” contact information of them before proceeding.
2. Don’t EVER give your SOCIAL SECURITY # TO ANYONE OVER THE TELEPHONE! 
3. Don’t ask a possible scam caller for their number to call them back.  They will give you a number, but it's won't help you!
4. BOTTOM LINE, if you don’t recognize a phone number, don’t answer it.  If it’s important, they will leave a message for you to hear and then you decide if it’s necessary to call back.
5. Get your phone number listed in the do not call list.  Go to: https://www.donotcall.gov/    Click on register phone, enter your number. You can do home & cell at the same time!
